I’m blinded by the dark
    Of everyday routine
    If there’s a god,
    If there are souls
Where are they to be seen?
Is there a purpose after all
Or is life just a joke?
I don’t hear nobody laughing here
But I sure do feel the cold

I know it wasn’t always so
    I remember brighter days
When will I meet them once again
    On fate’s twisted ways?

I wait in patience and perhaps
Patience is waiting just for me
To get my ass up, embrace the day!
And buzz around like a merry bee

But here I am without ideas
For a new adventure to embark
I cannot sleep, I cannot dream
    I’m blinded by the dark
